Fowler Thatcher (1891)

Fowler Thatcher spent the 1880s touring in a number of light operas. He appeared in London as Hinton Biffkins in Number Two, a farcical comedy at the Vaudeville Theatre in March 1890. He then joined D'Oyly Carte Opera Company "D" the following year, appearing on tour as Baboo Curree in The Nautch Girl from August to December 1891. It was his only part with the D'Oyly Carte organization. His only subsequent role in London was Julian Ranter in the operatic burlesque Eastward Ho! (Opera Comique, December 1894-January 1895). He then visited American with Lillian Russell's The Queen of the Brilliants Company. Fowler continued touring until at least 1918.
