From January until March 1876, Charles Tritton (real name Charles Lester) appeared as Carl in The Duke's Daughter and Ned Spanker in A Blighted Being with Selina Dolaro's Company at the Royalty, Globe, and Charing Cross Theatres. Richard D'Oyly Carte was joint manager with George Dolby.
